Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black Series (2011) news

Sat, 23 Jul 2011

Mercedes-Benz AMG is using the 2011 German GP to preview its fourth Black Series model: the C63 AMG Black Series, the cheapest – at a still chunky €97,000 plus local taxes – Black Series ever. What is the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black Series? Black Series acts as a no-comprises halo model for AMG, with wilder styling, more power, less weight, stiffer suspension and no rear seats.

Honda S660 sports car concept (2013) first official pictures

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 23 October 2013 12:00 This is the Honda S660, a 21st Century adaptation of the brand’s S600 sports car, first seen in the 1960s. The tiny two-seater roadster will be shown off at the Tokyo motor show in November 2013, but before you get too excited about a Honda roadster revival, we’ve got bad news. Even if the S660 did get green-lighted for series production, Honda UK has confirmed to CAR the S660 ‘is not destined for Britain.’ Looking very similar to 2011’s electric EV-STER concept, the S660 swaps batteries for internal combustion power, and ushers in an interior not pinched from the set of Star Trek, indicating a step closer to showroom-ready condition.

Mercedes fixes diesel injector problems

Thu, 11 Oct 2012

Mercedes say that a new injector system for C Class and E Class diesels with the OM651 engine have now been fixed. So extensive was the problem that many owners were waiting months for their cars to be fixed as Mercedes struggled with a mounting pile of broken cars and injectors that were failing. Mercedes tell us that the problem was fixed with the release of new injectors later in 2010, but Cars UK readers have continued to complain about their cars needing multiple visits to dealers with injectors failing multiple times (that original story garnered more than 500 comments from disgruntled Mercedes owners).
