Scots Take Most Pride In Keeping Cars Clean

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

A TELL-ALL survey of over 1,000 motorists across the country has revealed a North/South divide between the drivers of Great Britain when it comes to car hygiene. The poll conducted by IMO Car Wash Group discovered that people in the south of the country are the dirty rascals of Great Britain, with just 45 percent cleaning a car at least once a month. On the other hand, the Scottish shone through as the cleanest motorists, with 60 percent washing their car at least once a month.

Volkswagen Beetle Dune concept edging towards production

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

The Volkswagen Beetle Dune frolicking on the beach Back at the Detroit Motor Show in January, the Volkswagen Beetle Dune concept arrived as the perfect accessory for an outdoor lifestyle – especially if you’re in Southern California. Now, with Summer upon us, Volkswagen has released some new photos of the Dune concept frolicking around sunny locations in Germany and pointing firmly towards a production version.

David Brown Automotive promising a new luxury British sports car

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

David Brown Automotive promising a new luxury British sports car The name David Brown Automotive conjures up images of the man whose initials still give us the Aston Martin DB9 – former tractor builder David Brown who bought up Aston Martin in 1947 (and subsequently Lagonda and Tickford). But this David Brown Automotive is actually a new company which promises to “…refresh the classic British sports car, for the 21st Century” with a vision for a new luxury take on the classic British Sports Car. David Brown has put together a team lead by Alan Mobberley – who was  Chief Designer at Land Rover until 2005 and cropped up recently as the designer for Eterniti Motors – and has commissioned Envisage Group (the firm that bought up what was left of CPP after Vladimir Antonov’s exploits and who are building the glorious Lyonheart E-Type) to bring his dreams to life.
