For sale is one used bare 4 bolt main engine block. Engine Block Casting # 3951511 Block Casting Date: E 2 71 (May 2, 1971) Stamp ID: T0512CAT For 1970-1971 Chevy Monte Carlos and Passenger Cars: - Please see all of the pictures below all of this text, there are more than 30 pics, so keep on scrolling down!
- It was taken to our local machine shop where we had it inspected and magnafluxed, it checked out good with no cracks.
The current bore size is standard, it has never ben bored. There is a light ridge at the top of the cylinders. The cylinder bores have some surface rust on them (pics). There is some light surface rust in the lifter galley and on the outside of the main caps and block (pics). All of the mount holes and threads are in good condition with no thread repair inserts. This block will definitely need a trip to the machine shop for some machining. - This block will be shipped through a freight company, there is a $75 fee if a forklift is needed to unload.
This will be a good used original 4 bolt engine block for your Chevy build, please look at the pictures. If you have any questions contact us.
