 SIDEWIND DEFLECTORS

Beat the elements and add some attitude to your Truck, Van, or SUV. Sidewind Deflectors allow you to keep your windows partially open, to provide ventilation to the interior.

Even in the rain!

Today's modern aerodynamic body styles' form fitting doors and windows no longer feature "rain gutters" to channel away water. The result is usually water dripping into the interior. Sidewinds act like a "drip-edge" for your vehicle, this allows you to keep your window partially open for ventilation, without the rain getting in.

As air flows around the outside edge of the sidewind it creates a small Sidewind Air Flowlow pressure area underneath it (much like an airplane wing)which creates suction to keep out the wind and draw out the stale air from inside your vehicle.

Peugeot RCZ R UK price from £31,995

Tue, 12 Nov 2013

The new Peugeot RCZ R (pictured) will cost £31,995 in the UK The Peugeot RCZ is an appealing little sports coupe from Peugeot which, with a different badge and greater performance, might garner more kudos than it does. There’s little Peugeot can do about the badge, but they have done something about the power on offer with the arrival of the RCZ R at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this summer. Now, the Peugeot RCZ is about to go on sale in the UK – order books open on 18th November – and it will cost a not unreasonable £31,995.

Q&A: David Townsend, GM global design director, user experience

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

GM's new design director of user experience, David Townsend, has only been in the job just over a month. But with a remit extending to the interface design of every vehicle in GM's global portfolio, his influence will soon be widespread. After graduating from Art Center with a degree in transportation design, Townsend interned for Toyota but soon moved to Motorola, where he developed wearable Bluetooth technology and designed the familiar headsets worn by coaches in the NFL.

Porsche Macan production starts in December

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

The Porsche Macan (pictured) starts production in December with a bolder look It does seem that the baby Cayenne – the new, Audi Q5 based Porsche Macan – has been on its way for a while, but Porsche has now confirmed production will start in December, with first Macans hitting Porsche showrooms in early 2014. But despite the Macan having been spied many times, seemingly almost undisguised, we really don’t know what it will look like. That’s because Porsche’s man in charge of the design of the Macan - Michael Mauer – has admitted that Porsche has had to go back to the drawing board with the Macan to try and address its design in light of the huge success of the Range Rover Evoque.
