Up for auction is a used intake manifold for throttle body injection from a 1987 Chevy Blazer Full size. It had a 5.7 liter 350 engine. I had this part sitting on a shelf from another Blazer that I had scrapped awhile ago. I kept all the good parts just in case. The manifold did not have any issues when it was removed and should be fine. I am getting out of the full size Blazer phase and will not need these parts any longer. So if you are on a tight budget, here is a good intake manifold for TBI. It needs to be cleaned up. I have done one before and it came out great. I am not a mechanic by any stretch. I don't have the time to do the leg work on this one. Comes with water inlet. You will need gaskets and a thermostat. I may even have a thermostat in my drawer, if I do, you will get it. Just trying to clear my shelves and help out a fellow chevy guy at the same time. If the unit was bad, I would have trashed it. I don't sell crap items, and I definitely think this is worth keeping around. Even if you shelf it yourself. These Blazer parts are getting pricey and few. I will only relist this item one time, so buy it now, before it hits the scrap pile. I will be posting more spare parts very soon. Please contact me if you have any needs. As you can see from my listings, I am not trying to make a lot of money on these items if any. The prices I am offering are very low. I would rather see these parts get used instead of scrapped. Ford reportedly to shut down Mercury
Thu, 27 May 2010The Mercury brand, rumored to be on the verge of death several times over the past decade, would be shut down under a plan being prepared for Ford Motor Co.'s board of directors, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday. Citing two executives who have knowledge of the plan but asked not to be identified, the news service said the plan would be submitted to Ford's board in July. How quickly Mercury would be shut down depends how quickly the automaker can convince Lincoln Mercury dealers to close or merge with a Ford-brand dealership, the report said.
