Vauxhall Astra GTC 2011 / 2012 revealed
Tue, 26 Apr 2011Vauxhall Astra GTC - the 3 door Astra will be revealed in June Actually, we’re not sure we should really have called this a reveal of the new Vauxhall Astra GTC. It’s more the reveal of the production version of the GTC Concept we already saw at the Paris Motor Show last year. Nissan’s new lightweight philosophy revealed
Wed, 28 Oct 2009The leaked official drawings of the new Nissan Micra might have revealed the conventional styling of the company’s new supermini, but they gave little clue to the dramatically lightweight new platform that underpins it. The new Micra will be significantly lighter and more fuel efficient than the outgoing car due to a ruthless pursuit of weight reduction on the new V-platform (V = versatile), which on average has slashed 50kg from the new car's weight, and up to 70kg on some models. Project leader Noritaka Tsuru described the new package as a 'breakthrough car' that required a complete 'change in mentality' in how Nissan makes cars.
Porsche Exclusive showcased at museum
Wed, 16 Mar 2011The Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, will showcase the 25-year history of the Porsche Exclusive program with an exhibit that runs until May 1. This event celebrates the anniversary of the program, which allows customers to have their factory-fresh cars customized and refined to their specifications. The museum will display the Porsche 911 Turbo S 3.6 that was the first Porsche production car to top 186 mph, or the magical 300-kph mark in Europe.
