Nissan’s EV onslaught continues with Townpod

Thu, 30 Sep 2010

Nissan’s Townpod will be the company’s third electric vehicle (a battery-powered version of the NV200 commercial vehicle will slot in after the Leaf) and is slated for a late 2012 arrival in the UK. Looking remarkably like a character from Pixar’s Cars film, the Townpod takes the lithium-ion battery-powered drivetrain of the Leaf and cloaks it in urban friendly sheetmetal. Driving licences have been with us since 1903, when they were first mandated – but the current, annoyingly two-part licences have been in use since 1998, with a bank card-sized photocard accompanied by a printed sheet of A4.

Ferrari Enzo replacement (F70) will get V12

Thu, 06 Oct 2011

Ferrari F70 (New Enzo) to get V12 It seems to be taking forever for Ferrari to bring the replacement for the Enzo to the market. And that has meant endless speculation (guilty as charged) about what exactly the new Enzo will have to offer. As far back as 2009, we spoke to one of Ferrari’s ‘Favoured’ customers who, even then, had received the call from Maranello asking if he would like to be one of the lucky recipients of the new Enzo.
