Vauxhall's 2012 Astra cab to be standalone convertible

Vauxhall's new convertible will not be the Astra cabriolet, CAR has learned. Instead the new Astra-based convertible will be positioned as a separate, standalone model like Volkswagen's Eos. The new mid-sized Vauxhall/Opel convertible will be launched in 2012.

Jaguar to offer 4WD across its range – but does that mean for the UK too?

Jaguar has revealed it plans to offer all wheel drive models across its range for future models, but will the UK get the chance to buy a 4WD Jaguar? Not only was the lack of a four wheel drive platform hampering sales, but it was cited as one of the main reasons Jaguar hadn’t given the green light to an XF Estate. Lexus LF-NX Turbo concept debuts in Tokyo

Lexus introduced its first turbocharged motor on Wednesday at the Tokyo Motor Show. The 2.0-liter with a twin-scroll turbo debuted in the Lexus LF-NX Turbo Concept CUV. For you engineers, the boosted four gets a high-tumble intake port, which cuts down on air turbulence, fan spray fuel injection, variable-valve timing and a cylinder head-integrated exhaust manifold.
