Yes, Subaru has finally realised that nearly all of its range dishes out too much carbon and decided to save the flowers. Besides inventing the world's first production boxer diesel (due out 2008), it has lifted the lid on this electric concept, the G4e.

Ford C-Max Energi and C-Max Hybrid (2011)

Ford has unveiled two new hybrid vehicles at the 2011 Detroit motor show, the plug-in hybrid C-Max Energi, and the C-Max Hybrid. Both are based on the five-seat Ford C-Max, and the pair go on sale in North America in 2012, while European sales follow in 2013. Both the Ford C-Max Hybrid and Ford C-Max Energi use an Atkinson-cycle (like the Prius) 2.0-litre petrol engine and lithium-ion batteries.

Citroen DS3 Launched

The Citroen DS3 launched at Frankfurt today Amazingly, the DS3 has stayed very close to the concept we saw at Geneva earlier this year. The shape has remained virtually unchanged, as has the interior and even the wheels. The DS3 gets a twin exhaust and a conventional ariel – about the only changes we can see from the concept.
