Chris Craft Mahogany Bow Flag Pole Vintage 40’s 50’s Original (Sportsman ?) A rescue from a Detroit area estate… I am beyond my depth here… but my guess is that this is the bow flag post from a 1940’s / 50’s / Post-War Chris Craft… Original: this is not a reproduction but an original part… ‘As-Found’… with an early finish… old / original eye screws... nicely shaped…. No notable breaks, cracks or repairs…. Straight with no warpage…. No extraneous screw holes…. Measures 37” length 3 ¾ wide at base 1 ¼” hole I am not an expert in vintage water craft… please look at the photos carefully…. Feel free to ask question. If you know better regarding the model this came from let me know and I will update the listing. Note: Associated stern post is posted in a separate listing. 122015 Terms & Conditions Terms: All items guaranteed as represented or money refunded if item is returned within 14 days in the same condition. Detroit auto show 2012 - a video review of the NAIAS
Wed, 11 Jan 2012It's CAR's traditional three wise-ish men in a car video review of the 2012 North American International Auto Show. Hear the analysis from our European editor Georg Kacher, contributing editor Ben Oliver and anchorman associate editor Tim Pollard, as they chew over the new cars, surprises, delights and disappointments from the Detroit auto show. NAIAS 2012 was a more sober affair than the previous era of showmanship; there were no herds of cattle being steered down Detroit's streets or wild parties hosted by Chrysler in the old Firehouse.
Fiesta ST Concept (2012 / 2013) to show at Frankfurt
Sat, 10 Sep 2011Ford Fiesta ST - expected at Frankfurt There was a time when it seemed likely Ford would abandon all plans for a hot Fiesta. They seemed convinced that a Fiesta ST would be anathema in our seemingly eco-obsessed times, but fortunately they’ve had a change of heart. We reported back in September 2010 – after we had spy shots of what appeared to be the new Fiesta ST – that Ford were planning to cash-in on their WRC Fiest profile to finally bring us a Fiesta with a bit more get-up-and-go than the Zetec S could manage.
2013 Belgian Grand Prix: Hamilton pole for Mercedes
Sat, 24 Aug 2013Lewis Hamilton (pictured) takes pole for Mercedes in the 2013 Belgian Grand Prix The F1 circus returns this week after its summer holidays, but it’s business as usual for Lewis Hamilton after a cracking lap in final qualifying saw him take pole position for tomorrow’s Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. For a while it looked like Force India’s Paul di Resta would score his first ever pole as he took to final qualifying with his car on intermediate tyres whilst all the rest started on dry tyres. As the rain started to fall, di Resta put in a time that looked unbeatable as the rest of the final qualifiers struggled to put their power down.
