Dodge to stop Viper production next July, new car set for 2012
Wed, 04 Nov 2009The future of the Dodge Viper came into focus on Wednesday during Chrysler's strategy briefing for media and analysts. Ralph Gilles, recently named chief of the Dodge car brand, said that production of the current Viper production will cease at the end of next July. The final 500 cars have been earmarked to be special vehicles, Gilles said.

The facility was also fitted with the BMW i Pedelec electric scooter, a new complementary bike with a 33-mile range. Consumer Reports gets top vehicle picks mostly right

This year's winners cover a broad spectrum of vehicles, and for the most part, we're in agreement with the magazine's editors, with one significant exception at the top of the list. Best overall vehicle went to the Tesla Model S.
