BRAND NEW UNIT.  

DoctorDiff fully machined 8 3/4" clutch sure-grip ("powr-lok") posi includes upgraded 1 piece 30 spline side gears. 

Fits all gear ratios and all 8.75" castings (489, 741, 742). Must use 25520 and 25590 carrier bearings/races.

These are not the same units offered by others. In addition, I blueprint the clutch tension with hardened shims I produce to ensure proper break-away torque.

Use conventional 85 W 140, GL-5 grade gear lube, plus 1 bottle Ford friction modifier additive.

Bentley posts big sales jump for 2011

Luxury-car maker Bentley says 2011 was a banner year, with global sales of 7,003 cars, up 37 percent from the year before. Bentley capped the year with a strong December, selling 1,059 cars--the second-best month for sales in its history. Sales in December were up 69 percent from the same month a year earlier.

Start-stop works by cutting the engine when the car’s stationary in traffic, and restarting automatically when you touch the pedals to move off again. Every manual transmission-equipped BMW 1-series comes with the technology, excepting the truly high performance versions.

Doomed Saturns, Hummers make assembly-line curtain calls

Two doomed General Motors brands--Saturn and Hummer--are getting their last hurrahs on the assembly line. GM assembled 1,037 Saturn Outlooks last month after not making any Saturns since October. “We are building out a few Saturns to utilize existing material,” GM spokeswoman Kim Carpenter said.
