Dacia will offer “Shockingly Affordable” UK car prices says Renault

Dacia Duster promises to be sub £10k in the UK Renault’s budget brand Dacia will offer “Shockingly Affordable” prices in the UK from 2013. Dacia Duster SUV under £10k and Sandero under £7k. Caterham has added the Supersport R to its range of ’7′ models with a 2.0 litre Duratec Ford engine delivering 180bhp. In the meantime, Caterham’s core road car business is the old Lotus 7 range of Caterhams, so it makes sense to keep that more appealing and relevant until new cars start to arrive, so we get the Caterham Supersport R as an addition to the range to slot in between the Supersport and the Superlight models. The Supersport R gets a Ford Duratec 2.0 litre engine which produces 180bhp, which doesn’t sound a huge amount, but when you consider the Supersport R weighs in at just 535kg it starts to look plenty.

Tushek Renovatio T500 Supercar UK debut at Salon Prive

The Tushek Renovatio T500 – a supercar from a shed in Slovenia – is to get its UK debut at next month’s Salon Prive. Eastern Europe is starting to produce its own shed supercars, the latest of which is the Tushek Renovatio T500, a decent looking offering from Slovenia. Based on the K1 Attack kit car, the Renovatio T500 is the brainchild of former racing driver Aljosa Tušek with his Tushek Supercars company planning on a very limited run of just 30 Renovatio T500s over the next four years.
