CIPA's Ellipse Marine Mirror is a 4 x 11 inch multi-lens universal boating mirror. It features one 3.25 x 6 inch convex stationary lens in the center and two adjustable 2.5 x 2.5 inch flat lenses on each side. It is great for boats with walkthrough windshields because it allows you to position the outer lenses so that you can avoid mounting the mirror to the center of the windshield. A ball and socket tension knob keeps the mirror where you position it. The universal quick-mount, anti-scratch bracket will mount to rectangular or rounded windshield frames from 0.375 to 1.25 inches. The attached mounting bracket is made from aluminum and has a black textured finish. It attaches to the windshield using a quick and easy clamp-on design and can be positioned to sit above or below the windshield frame. The Ellipse Marine Mirror is constructed of heavy-duty durability tested materials and features OE grade glass. In order for glass meet OE standards it must be made utilizing a technique called first surface coating. First surface coating provides a high quality image that eliminates symptoms such as ghosting and multiple reflections. OE standards ensure high quality and a crisp clear view. It is most advanced family recreational boat mirror available allowing a view of both sides of the boat as well as behind. Perfect for boats without wakeboard towers.

"I had a convex mirror on my boat but still had blind spots on both sides that compromised safety in the busy channel I frequent. This mirror is actually 3 separate mirrors. Once you've adjusted the center mirror as you would the rear view mirror on a car you can then adjust the two side mirrors individually as they are mounted on their own ball sockets. All of the adjustments are somewhat stiff but that's a good thing as the adjustments stay in place even when bouncing through some chop.
Another thing I like is the simple windshield mounting bracket that has a big knob for easy repositioning on the window frame. The bracket has a generous opening to clamp over any windshield frame. The only time you'll need a screwdriver is to set the angle of the mirror to the bracket which should be a one time setting.
With such an easy bracket the mirror can be switched from an above the windshield position to the lower position easily.
Well worth the money!"

Quirky finance deal for anniversary Alfa Giulietta

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

CHECK this out for inflation: to celebrate 60 years since the launch of the original Giulietta, Alfa Romeo is offering a finance deposit contribution equivalent to the outright purchase price of the original car. The stunning 1954 Giulietta sold for £1,250, which is precisely what Alfa is offering buyers of the 2014 model if they take out a PCP finance deal and meet a few basic criteria. What’s more, a new £510 Lunar Pearl colour option will be thrown into the bargain for customers taking up the deal in the 60th anniversary celebration window.
