New compact Lexus SUV based on Toyota RAV4 on the way
Sat, 06 Apr 2013Lexus are planning a compact SUV to slot in below the RX, and based on the Toyota RAV4, to compete in the compact SUV market. Which explains why Lexus are looking for a model to slot in below the hybrid RX (pictured above) – a full size SUV/Crossover – to keep them competitive. And what easier way to go than to take the new Toyota RAV4 and turn it in to a Lexus?
Vauxhall Meriva – the interior
Mon, 18 Jan 2010The interior of the 2010 Vauxhall Meriva A couple of weeks ago Vauxhall revealed the details on the new Vauxhall Meriva and sent us a heap of pictures. Probably the biggest stand-out was the carry-over of the suicide doors from the original Meriva Concept (which we do have reservations about) but overall the new Meriva does look a more than half-decent car. But one thing Vauxhall didn’t do was release any pictures of the interior.
McLaren SLR Edition revealed
Mon, 06 Dec 2010McLaren SLR Edition A year ago – almost to the day – we reported that the very last McLaren SLR had rolled off the production line (well, production floor is more like it at McLaren) and that McLaren and Mercedes were going their own ways – McLaren with the McLaren MP4-12C and Mercedes with the Mercedes SLS AMG. The swansong for the SLR was the SLR Stirling Moss, an SLR dressed up like a silver arrow car from the 1930s, without a roof and only a vestigial windscreen. Or at least we we believed the Stirling Moss was the last SLR.
