Renault buys Caterham stake in Alpine as Anglo-French deal collapses

It marks the end of the road for the Anglo-French collaboration, leaving Renault the sole owner in Société des Automobiles Alpine. Today’s announcement terminates the 50-50 partnership signed in November 2012 between the two companies, a partnership that started with the promise of building two sister sports cars, one from Alpine and one from Caterham.
Hyundai blamed for France’s economic woes

In an apparent bid to galvanise the workforce of PSA and Renault to emulate French Farmers by setting fire to the competition, French Industry Minister, Arnaud Montebourg, has claimed that Hyundai and Kia are ‘Dumping’ cars in to the French market to undermine sales of Peugeot, Citroen and Renault. No Logbook? No Sale

Used vehicle data specialists HPI says it has seen a rising number of customers fall prey to sellers passing on vehicles without a logbook, otherwise known as the V5C, leaving them vulnerable to a number of scams. Commenting on the issue, Phil Peace, Operations Director for HPI, said: “We’ve seen a number of buyers going ahead with a vehicle purchase without having seen the logbook for the vehicle.
