Classic 1957 Johnson Seahorse 3 HP Sea Horse Outboard Boat Motor Model JW-13
For auction is a Vintage 1957 seahorse 3 Outboard Boat Motor I have owned 54 years. This is model number JW-13 and serial number 1494007. This engine is a twin cylinder that my family purchased in 1959. Comes with the original owners manual!  (Front cover is missing, and pages are worn and tattered.   It runs briefly when starting fluid is applied to the carb throat, so the ignition works ok.  I cleaned the carburetor and fuel tank.  In reassembling the carb I couldn't keep the float needle from sticking, so the gas is not getting to the fuel bowl.  The motor starts, but doesn't keep running.  If you search for "P5270014 1957 Johnson Seahorse 3 hp outboard" you can see it run.  It does not run long enough to determine if the water pump still works, so that might need to be replaced.  The spark plugs are at least 35 years old, but it still starts, so there is a strong spark.  Both of the coils were replaced in 1980, and the motor was not used after that. Please note however that the there are areas of missing paint, and small dents in the tank.   One transom clamp is stuck in the open position and is missing the round pad. The shaft of the high  speed carb adjustment is damaged, so that the knob does not firmly attach, but the shaft can be turned with a needle nose pliers (probably will need new hi and low needle valves).  There is a steel replacement washer to hold the steering tension.  The motor rotates 360 degrees for reverse.  It was not designed with a gearshift.  Comes with the original two bladed propeller and the three bladed prop I used for more pushing power.  This motor has been stored for years in my garage.
Please review the pictures carefully.  The steering handle was removed at the time the pictures were taken.  The motor is being sold as is with no warranty or guarantee.  Please keep in mind the motor is 56 years old.  SHIPS TO LOWER 48 US STATES ONLY.

Thu, 21 May 2009

Mitsubishi has launched the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ330 SST [ad#ad-1] Mitsubishi has decided that there is a hole to fill in its Evo X range, so it has introduced the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ330 SST, to fit in between the FQ300 and the FQ360. The Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ330 SST offers an increase of 29bhp over the FQ330, and features Mitsubishi’s new six-speed Twin-Clutch Sports Shift Transmission, which translates in to a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds. The additional power on the FQ330 comes from a re-mapping of the ECU and improvements to the intake and exhaust to make the Evo breathe more easily.

Fiat 500X SUV & new baby Jeep confirmed

Fri, 21 Dec 2012

Fiat has confirmed it is extending the 500 range with the Fiat 500X SUV and will build a new small Jeep crossover on the same platform. We’ve just had the first extension of the 500 range arrive in the UK in the guise of the Fiat 500L (complete with 500L ‘Motherhood’ rap), but the 500L range isn’t going to end there. Following on from a sneak peek at a probable future Fiat 500X SUV back in July, Fiat has now confirmed it is going to put the rufty-tufty version of the 500 in to production and will build it alongside a new baby Jeep crossover – based on the same underpinnings – at its Melfi factory in Italy.

Renault Megane Coupe Concept

Tue, 04 Mar 2008

By James Foxall First Official Pictures 04 March 2008 12:10 What's new on Renault’s motor show stand? The French maker’s star was its sleek new Megane Coupe Concept. A typical concept with novel split gullwing doors (dubbed dragonfly doors by the designers), seats that look like they’re straight from Ikea and cameras instead of door mirrors, its profile and design cues preview a forthcoming production model.
