Classic Shovelhead 1 3/4" Mounts For Early Ribbed Pegs (w/1/2" Studs)
This mount type is common to both FX and FL Shovelheads equipped with the early, ribbed pegs. This particular mount has a 1 3/4" body length (not included the threaded stud section.)
The Factory used a few different styles of this mount, however, and stud sizes often varied, depending on the model and location. These mounts have studs with a 1/2" diameter with a fine thread, so you'll need to check your existing studs to verify fitment, as a number of the early peg arms used a smaller 3/8" stud. Can also be used, universally, for custom peg mount purposes, so long as a 1/2" mount hole/location is available.

Rockin' Supercar: The Rebirth, Short Life, and Death of a Shark-Fin-Equipped '85 Toyota Tercel Wagon
Fri, 18 Apr 2014Sometimes a very ordinary car becomes something special, maybe even loved, but that's not always enough to keep it out of the jaws of the crusher. This is the story of a second-gen Toyota Tercel wagon (known in Japan as the Sprinter Carib) and its journey from auction to lumber-hauler to kid transportation to a Chinese steel factory. Around the turn of the century, while I was working at a doomed dot-com in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood, I discovered that the city auctioned off all the unclaimed tow-away cars every week at nearby Pier 70.
Day 59 and counting for General Motors: Fritz says it like it is
Tue, 31 Mar 2009With less than two months remaining to determine its fate, newly christened General Motors CEO Fritz Henderson held a press conference Tuesday to show Wall Street and Washington that the buck stops with him. He did a creditable job. No, he did not remind viewers of Alexander Haig so much as he played the part of confident commander in charge.
Concept Car of the Week: Dodge M4S PPG Turbo Interceptor (1985)
Fri, 03 Jan 2014As a major paint supplier of Detroit's big three, PPG would commission every year a car to be used as a pace car in the Indy Car World Series. In 1984 Chrysler began the development of a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive car using an experimental powertrain. To avoid the costs of creating a whole new chassis, the M4S is based on a modified Huffaker tubular chassis with full roll cage taken from the Pontiac Fiero IMSA race car, only lengthened to a 100-inch wheelbase.
