Condition:Used Brand:Evinrude Stroke:2-Stroke Engine(HP):70 HP

This lower unit was removed from a running 1990 70 hp Johnson, model number VJ70TLESB1990 that had power head issues last summer. This lower unit is fully operational with no issues.   This is a fresh water unit from the Western NY area with no corrosion anywhere.   The oil in the lower unit is black which indicates no internal water.  I pressure and vaccum tested the lower unit with no leakage.  A photo of the test  equipment that I used to test the unit is attached.  Note: this unit has the multi spine drive shaft for 1989 and up engines.   I did not check the condition of the water pump impeller but it pumped properly when removed from the boat.  It might be a good idea to check and replace the impeller since it's a low cost and simple repair at this point( remove 4 bolts and a key).   Check you application to assure that it will meet your requirements before you purchase.  I will only ship to the lower 48 states.  Any questions please advise.

Apple and Ferrari—What could be better?

Thu, 08 Nov 2012

Recently a press release popped into my email (remember when we used to say “came across my desk”?) that said Eddy Cue, Apple's head of Internet software and services, has joined Ferrari's board of directors. The statement said while on the board Cue, a Ferrari owner, will “aid with his experience in Internet-based commerce.” My two cents: It's a brilliant move for both parties, and the ramifications could be huge. Think about it: Does this mean Apple wants to make stuff for cars?
