Video shows Audi R18 'long tail' e-tron quattro's blistering Monza run

Audi has had a pretty solid run at the 24 Hours of Le Mans over the past decade, but we're glad they keep pushing the envelope. That's how they keep devising road-going spaceships like the staggeringly fast R18 e-tron quatto equipped with a “long tail” aerodynamic package. This quick video of the “long tail” hybrid testing at Monza gives us a preview of what we can expect at Spa next month -- and hints at what we'll see at Le Mans in June.

Mitsubishi readies Outlander plug-in hybrid (2012)

Mitsubishi is set to pull the wraps off the plug-in hybrid version of its Outlander SUV at the 2012 Paris motor show. As CAR previously reported back in February, Mitsubishi is continuing its commitment to electrify its range, with the Outlander PHEV incorporating lesson's learned from the brand's fully electric iMiEV city car. Mazda has revealed the Mazda6 facelift for 2010 which will debut at Geneva in March Yesterday Mazda revealed the 2010 version of the Mazda6 in Japan, and we were just about to report on that when we had an email drop in to our inbox with details of the European version of the Mazda6 which will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Maybe the Japanese car companies are finally working out that the Interweb reports Japanese launches when they happen so there’s no point procrastinating on details for the rest of the world? But whatever the reason we have official details of what the Mazda6 has in store for the UK this year. But don’t get too excited; it’s much more a facelift than a new car.
