But Land Rover has another range of cars – apart from the iconic Defender – which are perceived to trail in the wake of the Range Rover. Mercedes-AMG showed its take on a compact high-performance SUV at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show with the Concept GLA45 AMG. AMG says along with the distinctive design, power comes from the world’s most authoritative four-cylinder series production engine. That would be the AMG 2.0-liter turbocharged four, producing 355 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque.

The Reva NXR - one of two new electric cars Reva re bringing to Frankfurt Reva plan on introducing two new cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The first is the Reva NXR, which is a three-door, four seat family hatchback scheduled to launch in 2010. The second is a sporty, targa-topped two-seater – the Reva NXG – that won’t go in to production until 2011.
