For sale is a brand new set of clip-ons with diameters of 28mm or 30mm (when purchasing, please add a note to specify which size you want). These will fit many of the smaller displacement older Hondas and other Japanese bikes (see partial list below, these will fit other applications but it's up to you to determine if you've got 28mm or 30mm fork tubes -- if you order the wrong size I will replace them, but you you bear the cost of shipping for returning them and my postage costs to send you a new set ). The first bike pictured is a 1981 Yamaha SR250, which has 32mm fork tubes. The other bikes that are pictured are a 1975 CB400F and a 1973 CB350F. These bikes have 33mm fork tubes (which I am also selling) but the clip ons are identical to the ones pictured except for the fork tube diameter. These bolt on easy and stay put, and can give your ride a kick ass touch for a cafe racer or bobber or just a lower profile. Tired of those apehangers that you've been stuck with? Bars are about 10 inches long each, 7/8" diameter, and sit at around 90 degrees to the forks. Standard Honda and other Japanese handlebars fit these in terms of both diameter and length (i.e., for example, front brake master cylinder attaches without room issues). No sign of global auto meltdown at Tokyo Auto Salon
Mon, 19 Jan 2009With more than 600 cars on display and a record number of exhibitors, nothing at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon tuner show hinted at the global economic downturn. As always, there was a great mix of styles, from hard-core, 1,000-hp, supertuned machinery to weird customized scooter tricycles. Auto manufacturers tried hard to capture the minds--if not the wallets--of the younger-than-30 crowd with customized versions of production cars, while tuners were busy persuading power junkies to choose them for their next engine modification.
