Clipper BM-1CW Battery Monitor Compact White Model#  BM-1CW

Compact battery monitor, just 124 x 62mm x 23mm!

Based on the highly successful BM-1 marine battery monitor, the BM-1 Compact is especially designed for applications where space is at a premium.

Caravans, mobile homes, RV's, small boats and renewable power installations can all benefit from the BM-1 Compact. It is able to monitor the performance of any 12 Volt lead acid battery system with a capacity up to 600 AmpHours. The BM-1 Compact is supplied with a precision 100 Amp shunt and prefabricated cables to enable simple DIY installation.

The unit continually monitors the voltage, the current (charge or discharge) and calculates the state of charge together with the time remaining to charge or discharge the battery.

This information can lead to a more efficient use of the battery enhancing its life and reducing the risk of failure.

Operation is very simple. One screen displays the voltage, current (charge or discharge) and a bar graph showing the remaining capacity. A flashing alarm is also included to warn if the capacity is getting too low. A second screen shows the remaining time available at the current charge/discharge rate together with the remaining capacity in both analog and digital format.

The BM1 Compact consumes a miserly 1.5mA!

Mercedes S-Class Coupe: Frankfurt 2013

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

The Mercedes S-Class Coupe (pictured) arrives in concept guise at Frankfurt The Mercedes CL was never really the big seller you might expect a coupe version of probably the best saloon car in the world – the Mercedes S Class – to be, But that could change with the new Mercedes S-Class Coupe, revealed today at the Frankfurt Motor Show as a concept. The Concept S-Class Coupe – which looks pretty much production-ready – comes complete with a new look, a look that reflects Mercedes’ recent design changes with a clear feel of a grown-up CLA in its lines. The long bonnet, raised line running from the front wings to the back wheelarch, no B-pillar, and a nose that takes the good-looking front of the CLA as its cue – but takes it a step further – makes the S-Class Coupe look like a proper Mercedes in its own right and not just a two-door version of the S-Class.

BMW Toyota diesel engine deal not for Lexus

Sun, 18 Dec 2011

Lexus won't get BMW diesel engines despite the Toyota deal The deal for BMW to supply Toyota with diesel engines for its range in Europe will not extend to Lexus models. The deal for BMW to supply diesel engines to Toyota for Europe (and joint work on advanced lithium ion battery technology) makes a lot of sense. BMW’s diesel engine are possibly the best there are, and Toyota need good diesel offerings in Europe to mop up sales.
