Clipper Easylog: Gps-driven Speed And Distance Display on 2040-parts.com

Location:

Hampstead, New Hampshire, United States
Condition:Used

The Clipper EASYLOG shows speed, trip and total distance on a high visibility liquid crystal display. It uses 12-volt power and utilizes the RMC sentence from any GPS or plotter with an NMEA 0183 output for its data feed (it is NOT a GPS, it receives data from one).

Alternatively the EASYLOG can repeat, using sentences VHW and VLW from an existing NMEA log.

Technical Specifications
 • 40mm high characters
 • Industry standard 110mm square case with cover
 • Speed in Knots with 0.1 knot resolution
 • Trip in N.Miles with 0.1 N.Mile resolution
 • Total log up to 9999 N.Miles
 • 20 levels of backlighting
 • Tactile keypad
 • Speed trend indicator
 • Current consumption 1.5mA at 12V (10mA with backlight)
 • Opto isolated balanced NMEA input

This worked flawlessly for me connected to a handheld GPS, but is no longer needed since I upgraded to a full chartplotter, whose display is large enough that I do not need the EasyLog any longer.

Auction price includes shipping to any US street address (my choice of methods).

Pagani, Mercedes-AMG say V12s are separate

Thu, 18 Nov 2010

Italian sports-car maker Pagani and Mercedes-AMG, the high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz, on Thursday said that the engine for the future Pagani C9 supercar is not the same engine used in the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series roadster. The unusual announcement--automakers typically don't comment on future-product programs--refutes reports about the Pagani C9's engine. In January, Road and Track magazine reported that the V12 for the C9 was derived from the V12 in the SL65 Black Series.

Sun, 17 Feb 2013

Nissan has revealed that sales of the electric LEAF have now topped 50,000 units since the LEAF went on sale in 2010. We’re not fans of the electric car as a replacement for the ICE car, but some electric cars can give a fair impression (at a a price) of a traditional family car, and the Nissan LEAF probably does it better than any other electric car. The LEAF went on sale in 2010 and, although sales have not been exactly huge, Nissan has revealed that the LEAF has now passed more than 50,000 cars sold in the 17 countries it is available, with the U.S.
