Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R concept (2013) first picture of 400bhp Yaris
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Here’s the first image of Toyota’s new hot hatch concept: a Yaris Hybrid boasting a faintly ridiculous 400bhp power output. You won’t be surprised to learn the Yaris Hybrid-R isn’t intended for series production: it’s just a party piece to celebrate 5.5m worldwide Toyota hybrid sales since 1997, and point to future Toyota hybrids that the company says will offer faster performance and a grin-inducing drive. Bentley Continental Flying Spur [w/Gallery]
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Bentley's new Continental Flying Spur has been revealed ahead of tomorrow's official debut through a series of leaked pictures. The DRG's character has been subtly altered by placing the larger pair of lamps to the outside rather than sitting closest to the grille, visually widening the car.
BMW Z4 sDrive 35is (2009) at Detroit motor show 2010
Mon, 14 Dec 2009These are the first official pictures of the new high-performance BMW Z4 sDrive 35is, unveiled today at the Detroit motor show. A bit of a mouthful (that's BMW's new nomenclature for you), but it's essentially the fastest, hardest Z4 to date since the recently departed M roadster curled over and died. The Z4 sDrive 35is uses Munich's existing 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six, tweaked to produce 335bhp and 332lb ft of the twisty stuff all the way from 1400-4500rpm. That's one flat torque curve, and a 29bhp jump over the regular sDrive35i.
