Jaguar has managed to get almost as much pre-launch publicity from the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake as they did from the year-long launch of the XJ. At first we thought the XKR-S GT was destined for both the US and UK, but it quickly became clear that Jaguar intended their XKR-S GT just for the US. Which seemed a shame.

The Conservatives have published figures proving that the number of speeding fines has leaped from 712,753 in 1997 to 1,773,412 in 2006. The shocking stats include fines given to motorists caught on camera as well as those stopped at the roadside by traffic police.
