Honda recalls 310,773 Pilots for seatbelt issue

Honda is recalling 310,773 copies of the Pilot SUV to fix a problem that could make the driver's or passenger's seatbelts unreliable in a crash. Honda says a manufacturing error with the belts could mean that stitching on some of the models is incomplete where the lap section is connected to the outer anchor, which could cause the belt components to disconnect in an accident. The recall affects 2009- to 2011-model-year Pilots.

Autodesk's Automotive Days design conferences, launched in Munich in 2008, have highlighted the key growth area of digital prototyping. And at last month's conference the focus was once again broadened to include coverage of conceptual design and creative visualization (at the very beginning of the design process) and design for manufacture - at the culmination of the process. VW designer de'Silva pens a Leica camera

Leica, the German camera maker, introduced the Walter de'Silva-designed Leica M9 Titanium edition camera recently at Photokina, the biannual photo gathering in Germany. De'Silva, head of design for Volkswagen and responsible for designing the Audi A5 and Volkswagen Scirocco, took Leica's original M9 camera and created the M9 Titanium. De'Silva employed his Audi design team to assist in the project.
