Mon, 07 Apr 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 07 April 2008 08:54 We’ve heard of 2+2s before, but Nissan is taking this numbers game to a whole new level with the Qashqai+2. Peugeot 308 with 3-Cylinder engine sets new Fuel Economy Record. Sort of.

But instead of running the 308 in the real world, Peugeot chose to take their car off to the Almeria circuit in Spain – under the auspices of the UTAC (Union Technique de l’Automobile, Motocycle et Cycle) – to set a new record for fuel economy and distance driven on a full tank.

Alloy wheels and cut-away cladding also aim to give the car a distinctive feel.
