Fiat is poised to reveal an all-new Panda, the third generation of the successful city car that has been a mainstay in the company's lineup or the last 31 years. The new Panda is an evolutionary design that Fiat claims has ‘reached full maturity'. Michelin Challenge Design Selects Designs for 2009 NAIAS

The Michelin Challenge Design Jury met in July at Art Center College of Design and selected the designs that will be displayed next January at the 2009 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) at the Cobo Center in Detroit. The entrants were challenged to create vehicles in support of the central theme ‘BRAVE+BOLD'; America's Next Iconic Vehicle. The designs were evaluated for uniqueness, emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution.

Meadow Brook concours changes name

The Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance is changing its name this year and will be known as the Concours d'Elegance of America at Meadow Brook. The vintage-car event is held annually in suburban Detroit on the grounds of the Meadow Brook estate, located on the campus of Oakland University. The estate is the former home of Matilda Dodge Wilson, the widow of auto pioneer John Dodge.
