Bentley Continental GT3: Official details (video)
Sat, 13 Jul 2013The Bentley Continental GT3 (pictured) is at Goodwood this weekend We actually had the reveal of the Bentley Continental GT3 at the Paris Motor Show last year, but at the time details and specifications were a bit thin on the ground, and Bentley were calling it a ‘Concept’. But now, with the Continental GT3 strutting its stuff at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and ready to play, Bentley has seen fit to tell us how much power the GT3 has, and how much weight it’s shed. Remarkably, the Continental GT3′s weight is a substantial 100kg less than the road-going GT, weighing it at an almost lightweight 1300kg.

Now, a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera upfitted by Underground Racing cracked the 250-mph mark at the Texas Mile event. Car owner Richard Holt made the 250.1-mph run in late March, but video was posted just this week.
BMW/Exa-sponsored project at ACCD
Wed, 13 Aug 2008Art Center's BMW/Exa 7th term sponsored project, which we first reported on back in mid-February, recently had its final presentation at the conclusion of the Spring 2008 term. You'll recall the project tasked the students with redesigning a future X5 Sports Activity Vehicle with the express mandate improving its aerodynamic efficiency by at least 30 percent. To achieve this lofty goal, the co-sponsor on the project, Exa Corporation was going to provide both their engineering software PowerFLOW and their technical know-how to virtually test the students' Alias StudioTools design models and provide them with real world aerodynamic feedback.
