Very Good condtion, checked, working, 250 watts... With tray and connector shell & and new full GOLD connectors... Really no excuses. It is very nice TDR950. I bought it for a kit plane project I sold. I had it checked when I bought it 4 years ago. It checked good. I had it re-check recently before listing here and yellow tagged. It is high power, on frequency and codes are nice. The plastic is not cracked and bulbs are good unit, clean.

Like the rest of the Collins Microline series, the Collins TDR-950 Transponder has a well-earned reputation for reliability.

The TDR-950 is a full featured transponder in a compact chassis. In fact, it has the shortest depth of all transponders, making it possible to install where other units simply won't fit. (Approximately 8.5" are required behind the instrument panel.)

The TDR-950 offers 250 watts of transmission power, operation up to 62,000 feet, and compatibility with encoders (either an encoding altimeter or a blind encoder).

The TDR-950 features:

  • 4096 discrete codes
  • Mode C compatibility
  • TSO'd

Passengers are the biggest distraction

Adult passengers are the most distracting, with 18% of drivers saying they have had a near miss or crashed because of their attention being drawn away by someone else in the car. A survey by the AA found adjusting the radio was the second biggest distraction, with 16% of drivers admitting they had narrowly avoided a collision or been in a crash while fiddling with the radio.

U.S. auto-safety agency study finds driver error in most Toyota accidents

Tue, 10 Aug 2010

Brakes weren't applied by drivers of Toyota vehicles in at least 35 of 58 crashes blamed on unintended acceleration, U.S. auto-safety regulators said after studying data recorders. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also saw no evidence of electronics-related causes for the accidents in reviewing the vehicle recorders, known as black boxes, the agency said today in a report to lawmakers.

Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe photos arrive early

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

We didn’t expect the CrossBlue Coupe to look quite as dramatically ‘squashed’ as the design sketches, and it doesn’t. But it does look like a decidedly rakish SUV with a distinctly more coupe look than the full-sized CrossBlue SUV we saw at Detroit in January. Apart from being sleeker than its boxy sibling, the CrossBlue Coupe is also less compendious, and drops the full 7-seats the Crossblue had in favour of a 5-set layout.
