Citroen C3 at 2009 Frankfurt motor show
Mon, 29 Jun 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 29 June 2009 00:01 These are the first pictures of Citroen's new C3 supermini, a funky five-door that the French company hopes will steal sales from potential Ford Fiesta, VW Polo and Renault Clio customers. And in three-door form it will become the DS3, as Citroen's tries to take itself up-market and appeal to Mini buyers. The Tesla Model S has had more praise heaped on it than almost any car ever has, they are making an operating profit and their shares are going through the roof. So with the stars aligning for Tesla they’ve taken the opportunity to pay back $465 million of US Department of Energy loans, nine years early.
Mercedes-Benz, BMW both post record September sales
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Not only are the German horsepower wars still going strong, but if this next bit of news isn't evidence of German sales wars, then we don't know what is. BMW sold 189,675 vehicles worldwide during the month of September, an increase of 6.7 percent over the previous year, which also made it the best September sales month for the automaker. This comes with a small asterisk -- namely, that figure includes Mini and Rolls-Royce sales, though if we're talking just BMW-badged vehicles, the September sales totaled 158,029 (still a 7.6 percent increase over September of 2012).
