The Teewave AR1 not only showcases the Surrey-based company's design and engineering capabilities that elevate it to full design studio status, but also illustrates the very sweet spot where engineering integrity, lightweight material and want-one design meet. SAIC launches first Roewe-MG Cup Automotive Design Awards China
Mon, 08 Apr 2013The first SAIC Roewe-MG Cup Automotive Design Awards China have been launched, with the slogan "Design Drives Dreams." SAIC is calling for aspiring designers to demonstrate their talents by designing a future sedan, SUV or MPV for Roewe in 2020. With Roewe's position as a high-end marque, SAIC has highlighted that elegance and innovation as key considerations for entrants. The new design competition was officially announced by executive director of SAIC Technical Center Zhang Cheng at the carmaker's Shanghai-based Design Center.
Mitsubishi returns to Pikes Peak with all-new MiEV Evolution III
Tue, 03 Jun 2014Mitsubishi is back again with an all-new version of its electric hill-climbing machine, the MiEV Evolution III. A pair of the fully electric race cars will compete in the 92nd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 29, held just outside of Colorado Springs, Colo. Replacing the MiEV Evolution II that came in second in the EV division in last year's, “Race to the Clouds,” the MiEV Evolution III comes with a full force of upgrades that look to bump it to first place.
