Manufacturer Description:

Upgrading to these COMP Cams® titanium valve spring retainers will often allow you to gain speed and power because titanium retainers are lighter and stronger than most steel ones. Additionally, our Super Lock™ titanium design gives you confidence; no longer will you be preoccupied with splitting a retainer and tearing up an engine when turning 10,000 RPM.

These COMP Cams® titanium retainers are made from the finest 6AL4V alloy for maximum stiffness and minimal warpage. The 6AL4V alloy is heat-treated and processed to a stringent tolerance that makes it so strong that it is even used in the aircraft industry. Other manufacturers purchase titanium from metal brokers and produce “cheap” retainers, but COMP Cams® titanium retainers will not deform. From a standing idle to the most extreme RPM, our titanium retainers perform flawlessly and without compromise.

MP slams ministerial cars 'waste'

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

MINISTERS have been accused of wastefulness by having their official cars sitting outside Parliament with the engines running. Labour MP Thomas Docherty said he had seen Government cars sitting in New Palace Yard - one of the main thoroughfares in and out of the Palace of Westminster - for more than an hour with their engines turned on. Commons Leader Andrew Lansley said he had not noticed the problem on his frequent visits in and out of the palace.

Nissan Townpod concept

Mon, 18 Oct 2010

Nissan showed off a fresh take on the urban vehicle with the Townpod concept in Paris. Part coupe, part commercial vehicle – according to a Nissan spokesperson we spoke to at the show – the Townpod concept features a clear product aesthetic and the inherent practicality of a van, without resorting to outright utilitarianism. Read our opinions of the Nissan Townpod concept in our 2010 Paris Motor Show Highlights, and see more images of the concept in the gallery below.
