Jaguar F-Type Coupe to bow at LA Auto Show
Tue, 05 Nov 2013One of the most fevered rumors in automobildom will be all but confirmed at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, when the Jaguar F-Type Coupe makes its debut. Remember that the Jaguar C-X16 concept first showed itself in LA back in 2011, and we rather liked that car. The F-Type Coupe, in all of its production-ready glory, will look achingly similar to that concept.
Tata is leading JLR bidder

In a statement to JLR workers today, Ford of Europe chairman Lewis Booth said: ‘Ford is committed to focused negotiations at a more detailed level with Tata Motors concerning the potential sale of the combined Jaguar Land Rover business.’ This is the first time that Ford has publicly revealed the identity of any bidder for JLR. JLR has been up for sale since June 2007, and other potential bidders include rival Indian vehicle maker Mahindra Group and private finance group One Equity fronted by former Ford CEO Jac Nasser. Tata itself already owns a few famous names, including Tetley Tea and Corus (formerly British Steel).

The former General Motors and SAIC designer's departure is a blow to the Chinese manufacturer's bid to design more distinctive cars to compete more effectively with foreign rivals in China and abroad.
