FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. A COMPLETE 350 PONTIAC. ENGINE. IT IS OUT OF AN EARLY 70s PONTIAC. THE BLOCK NUMBER IS 481990. THAT SHOULD HELP YOU OUT. I'LL BE HONEST, I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE MOTOR. IT DOES TURN BY HAND AND IT DOES HAVE COMPRESSION. THE ENGINE HAD A TWO BARREL CARBURETOR ON IT, BUT IT WAS TAKEN OFF. THE MOTOR HAS A FLEXPLATE ON IT. IT HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY GARAGE FOR 15 YEARS UNDER A TARP, BUT IT IS STILL IN DECENT SHAPE. YOU WILL HAVE TO PROVIDE THE SHIPPING SERVICE. MY ADVICE WOULD BE TO DRIVE HERE TO PICK THE MOTOR UP YOURSELF. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE ENGINE IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE THE SHIPPING SERVICE. I'M SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. PLEASE SEND THE PAYMENT THROUGH EBAY AND PAYPAL TO MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT. WHEN THE PAYMENT CLEARS, I'LL LET YOU KNOW AND THE ENGINE CAN BE PICKED UP. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK BY SENDING AN EMAIL. I WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS AS BEST AS I CAN.          THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR LOOKING!

Future Audis may time traffic lights for you

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

Here's a trick efficiency-chasing hypermilers have been using for years: spotting the cycles of stoplights from 100 to 200 yards out and letting the car coast up to the light just before it turns green, then carrying on without ever letting the car come to a complete stop. These hypermilers, along with professional truck drivers, do this because they know that accelerating from a standstill burns the greatest amount of fuel, and because letting a car coast up to the light with the automatic transmission downshifting by itself is easier on the transmission than stomping on the brakes right beneath the stoplight. Oh, and it's easier on the brake pads as well.
