Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz shared a moment last week when Ferrari's Facebook page cracked 8 million fans and Mercedes' hit 2 million video views. They celebrated in similar but different ways. Ferrari took its 458 Italia and burned the digits 8,000,000 in rubber on some asphalt.

Bugatti Grand Sport Venet edition (2012): a 253mph art car

This is the latest one-off Bugatti Veyron supercar: the Bernar Venet editon. Partly inspired by the 1970s BMW art cars of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, French artist Bernar Venet's creation pays tribute to the eggheads responsible for the Veyron's conception, by covering the front panels in mathematical equations relating to the output of the car's enormous engine. Update: Ferrari has released a new image of the Enzo successor's rear, which we've attached above. Of the 288 GT0, F40, F50, Enzo and its upcoming successor, Ferrari Technical Director Roberto Fedeli says, “Let's refer to them as our 'specials.' " That works for us.
