This auction includes: -MIR red and blue suit in size 56 (I am 5'11" / 165# and it fits fine - could probably fit someone slightly larger too)... includes carrying bag as shown -MIR high top race shoes - no size indicated but seem to fit like an 11ish -MIR red gloves - size large -MIR black rib protector -MIR red neck brace This is all high quality stuff - nothing from China here. This gear is a bit older but in excellent condition as shown - would cost $450+ to buy new stuff of similar quality today. Note that these items are for kart racing and are not Nomex thus unsuitable for an application where fire resistance is required. Shipping will be free to anywhere in Canada or the lower 48. Mercedes-Benz reveals SLS E-Cell performance data
Fri, 09 Mar 2012Mercedes-Benz has lifted the veil of secrecy on the plug-in-electric propulsion system of its upcoming SLS E-Cell, first revealed in concept form at the 2009 Frankfurt auto show. Set to go into limited production in early 2013, the zero-emission version of the German carmaker's signature gullwing coupe is set to rival a raft of new high-priced electric or hybrid supercars due out in the not-too-distant future, including the Audi E-tron, the BMW i8, the Jaguar C-X75 and the Porsche 918. The car is undergoing development at Mercedes-Benz's performance-car AMG unit and its British-based sister company, AMG High Performance Powertrains--the company behind Mercedes' latest 2.4-liter V6 Formula One race engine.

Spanish street named after car racing video game creator
Fri, 13 Dec 2013THE SPANISH town of Ronda has named a street after the creator of car racing phenomenon Gran Turismo. Kazunori Yamauchi, the man behind all six Gran Turismo games and their respective PlayStation spin-offs, was honoured in an on-street ceremony by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Ronda, where the new street sign was unveiled. Paseo de Kazunori Yamauchi runs along the edge of the stunning ravine that makes Ronda a popular tourist destination.
