Condition:Used Brand:Yamaha

Complete powerhead from a 2004 Yamaha T8 8 HP 4-stroke outboard (less carburetor and electronics).  The motor was sparingly used as a kicker on a larger boat, so the power tilt, parts of the tiller, and steering friction control were removed.  I purchased the motor with the intend to rebuild it, but used parts have not been forthcoming and new parts are hideously expensive, so I am parting it.

The motor is currently assembled and runs - in fact runs very well.  It has 155 psi compression in both cylinders and the motor shows no signs of corrosion or rust.  It should fit any year Yamaha F8 or T8.

The auction if for the power head ONLY (less carb and electronics).  If you need other parts, please email me for pricing.  Conversely, if you have a T8 power trim unit or tiller you want to sell, contact me as I would be interested in purchasing.

Thu, 20 Jan 2011

The next step in the effort to keep people from using cell phones for calls and text messages while driving has arrived--a service that senses when the phone is moving at carlike speeds and automatically handles calls and messages. T-Mobile is providing the service, called DriveSmart, for its customers who use the LG Optimus T, a mobile phone that runs the Android operating system. T-Mobile says it will make the service available on other handsets soon.
