This is a Sea-doo Rotax 718c.c. engine known as the 717 motor. It is a complete engine assembly with exhaust manifold, starter, carburetor, oil pump, magneto assembly, and PTO. It came out of a 2001 GTI and it will work in many different units. This engine was torn completely down and Everything was Rebuilt!!!

Starting with the engine itself. The cylinders were bored first oversize and new WSM platinum pistons were installed. The crankshaft was replaced with a New Hot Rods crankshaft assembly, not a rebuilt one. The engine was assembled with all new gaskets, bearings, and seals. The starter was torn down, cleaned, and rebuilt with new brushes. The carburetor was torn apart, cleaned, and rebuilt with a new Mikuni OEM rebuild kit. The accelerator pump was also cleaned and operation was tested. The oil pump was tested and it's operation was verified. New oil injection lines were installed on the oil pump. The oil injection cable was reconnected to the carb and adjusted. This engine has the stator and flywheel on it. The stator was tested and works perfectly. Basically everything on this engine assembly was taken apart and rebuilt, it's the closest thing you'll come to a completely new engine for your watercraft! This is being sold as a complete assembly, only parts you'll need to swap over are the exhaust pipe and air box. This comes with the exhaust gasket needed for installation, and a new set of spark plugs.

*****If you have an old engine for a core that is rebuildable, I will deduct $300 from the price of this new engine*****

We test Ford's impressive performance Focus - the 2009 Focus RS I may not hail from Essex – Ford’s home in the UK – but I’ve lived here for the biggest part of my life. So although I never indulged in the Essex-boy blinging of the most prosaic cars on the road I’ve ended up with a soft spot for quick Fords. And in particular RS Fords.

The 2014 VW Beetle Dune concept is a follow up to the 2000 VW Beetle Dune Concept. But where Volkswagen describes the earlier car as “science fiction”, this new version is said to be looking “much more realistically towards a production vehicle”… Please click the image above to read more about the VW Beetle Dune concept from the Detroit Motor Show 2014

Concept Car of the Week: Audi Quattro Spyder

Fri, 23 Nov 2012

The Audi Quattro Spyder. It might not be as avantgarde as some concepts we've explored so far in this weekly series becasue this was a sports car designed with production in mind. It would have marked an entry into a market Audi was yet to explore during a time it was deperate to break free of its dowdy, mainstream image.
