BaT Euro Alfa Adventure - Part 1 - Intro and The Goodwood Revival
Mon, 16 Sep 2013I'm sitting at a Starbucks at the EuroTunnel station at 12:30 a.m. That may not sound particularly glamorous or exciting, but what has brought me here is a 72-hour adrenaline rush that a car fanatic can only get from the prospect of retrieving a far-away car purchase combined with a racing event I've previously only dreamed about. This story started months ago when a buddy in the Netherlands emailed to say that he landed a couple of tickets to the Goodwood Revival.
Aston Martin V8 Vantage S (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show
Tue, 25 Jan 2011Good news for fans of Aston Martin's V8 Vantage, and especially those who found it a touch slow: the new, musclier V8 Vantage S. The Aston Martin Vantage S is a tweaked-up version of the regular Vantage, and a full production model. It's the fastest Vantage yet! The biggest change is under the bonnet. The 4.7-litre V8 now has a stouter 430bhp, which makes it 20bhp more powerful than the Vantage N24 and 30bhp up on the N400 special editions.
Range Rover Hybrid completes Silk Trail Expedition to India (video)
Tue, 15 Oct 2013Range Rover Hybrid completes Silk Trail Expedition to India Land Rover has been busy for the last 53 days taking a trio of Range Rover Hybrids down the Silk Trail from Land Rover’s home in the Midlands to Tata’s home in India. In the process, the three Range Rover Hybrids, and their Land Rover support vehicles, have covered 10,472 miles in 53 days covering every terrain imaginable – and averaged 36mpg in the process. The whole point of the outing was to give the hybrid Range Rover a proper workout ahead of its customer launch, and the trek to India certainly provided that with everything from sea level to 5500 metres and temperatures from -10 to 43C along the way, not to mention the vast array of terrain from tarmac to non-existent byways.
