Ford supercars
Tue, 29 Jul 2008By 29 July 2008 09:00 The Blue Oval might be more at home building Escorts and Mondeos, but it too has dabbled in the superecar arena in the past four decades. And considering the company's main engineering focus, the two supercars it has built both qualify for CAR's landmark supercar status. Chris Harris finds the McLaren P1 “a whole new thing” (video)
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Chris Harris and McLaren’s Chris Goodwin in the McLaren P1 We know the McLaren P1 is exceptional, and we’ve heard almost the same ‘game changer’ dialogue from anyone who’s driven it. We’ve also seen the McLarenj P1 on the move in the recent Top Gear with Jeremy scaring himself witless in Belgium as his brain came to terms with the awesome 903bhp at the P1′s disposal on a less than forgiving Spa circuit in damp conditions. But what we have here – in case you’ve not seen it elsewhere – is a video review of the McLaren P1 from Drive’s Chris Harris, and it does the best job we’ve seen of explaining just why the P1 is so special and why it’s “…a whole new thing”.
Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Meets The Real Thing
Thu, 21 Aug 2014WHILE Infiniti has yet to make a decision on whether to put its high performance Q50 Eau Rouge model into production, bringing it to the circuit with the corner named after it was too good an opportunity to miss. It’s no surprise that Sebastian Vettel, Infiniti’s Director of Performance and four-time Formula One World Drivers’ Champion, put the car through its paces as part of a social media promotional activity. Vettel has been involved in the ongoing development of the Q50 Eau Rouge prototype, which was first revealed as a design concept vehicle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January this year.
