Core / Hurst Shifter Base For Tr6060 From Camaro Cts-v Gt500 6 Speed Trans Swap on 2040-parts.com
Sugar Land, Texas, US
*** This listing is ONLY for people doing custom installations & trans swaps. It is not intended for any OE application (see my other listings for complete kits where available). *** Core / Hurst short throw shifter base to convert from remote OE cantilevered shifter to direct mount (mounts in place of OE linkage cover - see transmission pic). Direct fit to T56 & TR6060 transmissions from the following sources: This base will also fit the T56 & TR6060 models below, but ONLY in the forward location (aka inspection port) which requires internal modifications to relocate shifter (parts source unknown - IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO REPLICATE ALL NECESSARY FUNCTIONALITY WITH OE TR6060 PARTS). This base does NOT fit at the tail location where the OE shifter mounts: For most of the above, I offer shifter bases to replace the OE shifter at the tail location in my other listings. This shifter base mounts on a 4-bolt pattern that is approximately 2.88" wide x 3.65" long and the center of the stub pivot ball is approx 1.52" below the flange. It only fits in the forward location as discussed above. For tail location bases, see my other listings - these vary by model - T56 shifters are NOT universal! This is a custom shifter base composed of readily available Hurst Billet Plus component set (supplied by Hurst) inside a custom housing (not produced by Hurst, but 100% made in USA). It functions like any regular Hurst Billet Plus shifter but in a configuration which Hurst does not offer. Obviously throw reduction is subject to the OE equipment being compared, but this shifter was designed to yield about 35% throw reduction over an existing direct fit OE unit. You can mount any Hurst bolt-on stick to this base. I sell many in my other listings. This base has a 2.53" fulcrum height, ideal for 8-10" long sticks. For taller sticks, email me to request a taller fulcrum. This base includes mounting hardware, dust boot, and instructions. It does not have stops and does not need them; all modern internal rail trans have internal stops. However if you prefer, stops can be added for $20 more, email me to request. Fulcrum options: If you are doing a trans swap and not sure which Hurst chrome stick you need for your custom application, please see: http://www.core-shifters.com/hurst2004sticks.pdf This Core Shifter shares many of the same superior features & components found in Hurst Billet Plus Shifters, integrated into a unique, exclusive base assembly: SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR SHIFTERS, STICKS, KNOBS, & "HURST EQUIPPED" EMBLEMS!

Geely’s Rolls Royce clone gets de-cloned
Wed, 14 Apr 2010The Geely GE Facelift - no longer a RR Clone It’s amazing how much things have moved on in the last twelve months. A year ago we reported that China’s Geely had become the latest Chinese car maker to produce a complete rip-off clone of a Western car, in this case a clone of the Rolls Royce Phantom. The Geely ‘Phantom’ even sported a single seat ’Throne’ in the back so the owner could feel really important in his Chinese version of a Western plutocrat’s carriage.
Lamborghini MLC is the Lambo SUV
Wed, 22 Feb 2012What we think will be the Lamborghini MLC The new Lamborghini SUV will be called the Lamborghini MLC and will debut at the Beijing Motor Show in April. At the start of the month we revealed that the rumour of a Lamborghini SUV were not rumours but fact, after an Audi manager confirmed that Lamborghini would be entering the super-luxury SUV with their first offering in the sector since the LM002. And now we know it’s going to be the Lamborghini MLC.
Kia KV7 Gullwing Concept at Detroit
Fri, 24 Dec 2010The Kia KV7 Concept - will show at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show We’ve got used in recent years to the Koreans - in the guise of Hyundai and Kia – presenting more and more credible concepts which go on to become equally credible production versions. So the news that Kia are taking a new concept to the Detroit Motor Show in January – the Kia KV7 Concept - is something we should probably take quite seriously as a pointer to a new model. The fact that Kia allude to the production versions of cars like the Kia Soul and Kia Sportage being close in style to the concepts that preceded them in their press release on the KV7 also makes it an extremely strong possibility that the KV7 Concept is pointing to a new model from Kia.
