Core Short Shifter W/ Hurst Stick 5202 For 1994-2004 Ford Mustang T5 T45 5 Speed on 2040-parts.com
Sugar Land, Texas, US
Core Shifters EXCLUSIVE!! Short throw shifter equivalent to discontinued Hurst Billet Plus shifter 391-5031. This is a custom Core Shifters base that contains a readily available Hurst Billet Plus component set (supplied by Hurst) inside a custom housing (not produced by Hurst, but 100% made in USA). It functions exactly the same as any regular Hurst Billet Plus shifter, but configured into a kit that Hurst no longer offers. This mechanism is smoother and more robust than the original Comp Plus design. It includes a dust boot cover, mounting bolts, and installation instructions. Throw reduction should be around 40%. It does not have stops and does not need them - all modern internal rail trans have internal stops. However if you wish, you can add stops for $20 more; email to request - this must be requested prior to purchase, it cannot be retrofitted. Brand new Core Shifters 5 speed "short" shifter package complete with Hurst stick # 538-5202 which has 12mm x 1.75 threads to accept the stock knob or aftermarket knobs with stock threads. I offer Hurst engraved knobs in this thread size in my other listings. This kit ONLY fits the following applications, only with 5 speed: It does not matter what Mustang model you have (LX, GT, Cobra, Saleen, SVO, etc), all that matters is that it is a 5 speed and fits in the above model years. If you have a T45 (1996-2001 V8) you must indicate that with payment for proper component kit. This Core Shifter shares many of the same superior features & components found in Hurst Billet Plus Shifters, integrated into a unique, exclusive base assembly: Shifter kits also available with chrome sticks, and with console trim for 1983-1993 models. SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR SHIFTERS, STICKS, KNOBS, & "HURST EQUIPPED" EMBLEMS!

Peugeot 508 (w/ Gallery)
Tue, 13 Jul 2010The new Peugeot 508, previewed by the 5byPeugeot Geneva show car earlier this year, is the replacement for the D-segment 407 and the larger E-segment 607. The 508 retains many of the design themes of the concept: a more restrained grille outline, diving headlamp graphic and embossed lion emblem surface convey a similar DRG. The sedan's three-light DLO is also intact as is the trunk lid's unusually high-set trim highlight, although the taillamps have lost their body color inserts.
McLaren DOESN’T stop production of the MP4-12C to fix problems.
Sat, 08 Oct 2011McLaren MP4-12C problems haven't stopped production The McLaren MP4-12C is McLaren’s first road car in almost twenty years, and it appears that the new 458 competitor from Woking has a few problems. Reports have been cropping up for some weeks that MP4-12C owners have been plagued (well, plagued is harsh) by a raft of problems including a battery drainage issue (something many cars suffer from early on), headlight condensation and glitchy door operation. McLaren are adamant none of the issues affecting the 12C are safety related and it is therefore continuing to build the cars, so although there will be a delay for some new owners in delivery, the issues should cause no long term back log in deliveries.
What's different about electric cars this time? A column by Kevin A. Wilson
Thu, 05 Mar 2009Thirteen years after the General Motors EV1 was rolled out to cheers from advocates of a revolution in the way we power automobiles, those same advocates are out front cheerleading yet another revival of an idea as old as the automobile itself: Run 'em on batteries. Batteries aren't a source of energy. They're just storage units, a convenient means of making power portable.
