Founded by Jim Browning, the company entered the marine business in 1989. Automotive products at CORSA Performance began with C5 Corvette exhaust systems in 1998, followed quickly by systems for the C4 Corvette, Camaro/Firebird and the Viper. Today, CORSA Performance also offers premium quality stainless steel exhaust systems for Cadillac, Mustang GT, C6 Corvette (including the new 505 hp Z06), the new GTO, 300C/Magnum/Charger (including SRT-8 models) and Hummer H2/H3 vehicles. In 2001, the company also expanded its product line to include truck exhaust systems, and now offers GM, Ford and Dodge truck and SUV products, including diesels. And in 2004, BMW was added to the application list. The company will provide a 240-Volt Level 2 home-charging station including installation with a new ELR. Cadillac hopes this incentive just might sway some buyers who have been thinking about buying the luxury gas-electric hybrid, or those who have been cross-shopping the ELR with the Tesla Model S.

Speaking at the 9-5 launch in Trollhättan, Saab bosses told CAR that the new 9-3 would be the first model to bear the true hallmarks of the new independent Saab since the Detroit divorce.GM sold Saab to Dutch entrepreneur Victor Muller's Spyker group in February 2010 for $78 million and an equity swap – meaning that the 9-5 was done and dusted by the time Saab had become independent. Next year's new 9-4X crossover, paired with and built alongside GM's Cadillac SRX and due in April 2011, is also largely finished.
