Drivers' 'huge petrol tax burden'

BRITISH DRIVERS are still facing a huge petrol and diesel tax burden despite three years of fuel duty freezes, according to the RAC Foundation. The UK has the highest rate of diesel tax in Europe while only Sweden imposes a higher petrol tax duty than the UK, the foundation said. Its figures showed that tax accounts for 59% of the price of diesel in the UK, with Sweden (56%) second and Italy (55%) third.

2015 Audi TT, TTS Coupe and Roadster revealed

The 2015 Audi TT and TTS Coupe and Roadster models debuted on Friday with a new optional competition package, optional carbon package and new standard features. Power will continue to come from two variations the company’s high-strung 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged and direct injected engine. The TT RS will no longer be offered.

Will the Caterham AeroSeven Concept (pictured) be a casualty of Caterham’s impending sale? Caterham’s foray in to F1 hasn’t been much of a success, with not a single point on the F1 board since they arrived in 2010 as Lotus Racing (although Marcus Ericsson was just one place off a point at Monaco yesterday). Now, after warning back in January that he would walk away from F1 if the Caterham team’s performance on track didn’t improve, it looks like Fernandes is ready to walk away from Caterham altogether.
