CORVETTE 350 Cu In 4 Bolt Main engine block.  Standard 4.00 in bore.  No defects detected on engine block.  Left hand (drivers ) side for dip stick.  Casting numbers on the front of engine block, as depicted, indicate this block has additional tin and nickel in the casting metal.  This is a more desirable block due to this.  This block is considered a heavy duty block.  the metal is tougher and has better heat dissipation.  The small print at the end of this description describes this in detail.  I have had this block setting in my garage for almost 20 years.  It is time to let someone that can use this purchase it and move on.  There is some surface rust as depicted but machining this block will clean this up.  Shipping to lower 48 states only.  You will have to email me your zip for shipping quote.  Buyer will be required to pick shipment up at selected freight carrier's terminal closest location, or, local pick up would be better.  I am willing to drive an hour or so to meet buyer for delivery providing there is enough help to move the block to your vehicle.  I can take more pictures and send to any prospective buyer if necessary.  Selling item as is condition with no returns, warranties, or trades.  Please email any questions you may have ... Thanks for looking ...

Numbers on block indicate this is a 1975 Corvette Engine

Tin and nickel are two metals that are commonly alloyed with cast iron to improve durability, hardness and heat dissipation. Some production engine blocks have the numbers "010", "020" or both cast into their front face, just above the main bearing bore. (The timing cover must be removed for these numbers to be visible.) If both numbers are present, one above the other, it indicates that the block alloy contains 10% tin and 20% nickel. A single number, either a "010" or "020" represents the amount of nickel and indicates negligible amounts of tin. No numbers, other than the casting numbers that are typically found beneath the timing cover, translates to only minor amounts of tin and nickel being present in the block alloy. However, cylinder wall thickness is the overriding consideration - and a block with no tin or nickel and thick cylinder walls is generally preferable to a high nickel block thin walls.
