An excellent condition C6 Corvette Navigation NAV AM/FM stereo CD unit. This NAV / stereo unit came out of a 2006-year model Z-06. This radio was manufactured on 2-2-06. All is in great condition - the display screen, plastic housing (bezel), all buttons (no wear marks, no rubbed-offed areas, no scuffs) and all as seen in photos. Everything worked absolutely perfectly fine just before removal.

Other than this - for installation in your car, all you will need is a GPS antenna and wire harness (not included in this auction). Once the NAV radio is installed in your car, you will need to have it programmed into your car's on-board computer. Either a local Chevy dealer, or other GM dealer facility, or a local independent garage can do this. At this point they will also program YOUR car's VIN into the system. You DO NOT need the VIN from the donor car. If your Chevy dealer is telling you they can't/won't program this radio unless they have the donor VIN, you will need to find a dealer that will - or alternately you can take it to a local independent shop for this procedure. This particular radio has a small round "JL Audio" emblem attached in th elower right corner. It can be removed if you so desire (see photo #9)

NOTE: I do have the VIN of the car that this radio came out of, and I will give it to the buyer of the radio, however you do not need this to program the radio in your car (despite what you hear to the contrary).

Shipping & handling is $14.00 to the lower 48 only, plus $7.40 for shipping insurance (against theft / damage - for the full purchase price). Payment is due immediately at auction's end via Paypal. I will carefully package and ship the unit within 1 business day of cleared payment. Overnight shipping available for extra charge. Local pick up is free.

These are pix of the actual unit that you will receive. Nothing else is included in this auction, just what you see in the photos, nothing more, nothing less.

Thanks.

Tesla Model S warranty extended to 8 years for Drivetrain

Sat, 16 Aug 2014

Tesla Model S warranty extended to 8 years for Drivetrain The Tesla Model S – perhaps the only truly useable electric car – has taken the motoring industry by storm, and now it’s getting better still for owners as Tesla announce an extended warranty on the drivetrain of the Model S to 8 years, matching that of the battery pack. The warranty also applies retrospectively, so all Model S Teslas already in the hands of owners are covered – and the warranty can be transferred to as many new owners as needed – for a full 8 years, which is unlimited for the 85 models and 125k miles for the 60 models. It’s a strong response from Tesla after a number of long-term tests (by Consumer Reports and Edmunds in particular) produced a number on niggling problems, and standing behind their product so solidly – just as Hyundai/Kia did – may not take the niggles away but it will give comfort to prospective buyers (if not shareholders, at least in the short term).

2014 Skoda Octavia Scout revealed ahead of Geneva Motor Show debut

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

The 2014 Skoda Octavia Scout (pictured) debuts at Geneva A more rugged, pseudo off-road estate car is a sensible compromise for buyers looking for a bit more ruggedness than a regular estate car offers, but without going to a full-blow SUV or Crossover. So it makes a lot of sense for Skoda to go the ‘Allroad’ route with the Octavia Combi (estate) and give it a touch more rufty tufty and a new name – the Skoda Octavia Scout. The 2014 Octavia Scout has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month and comes with all the butch add-ons you’d expect.
