You're bidding on a used Delco Remy 1997028 headlight dimmer switch as installed on '63-71 Corvette.  Are you losing points because your car's switch was replaced with either a non-Delco or later era service replacement switch that lacks the 'tit' in the top of the plunger cover?  Here's a real McCoy original that's been cleaned up and bench tested. 

Switch comes with a no-DOA warranty. The support pictures show the contacts are clean and fresh.  Closeup of the back side of the switch body shows the script Delco Remy logo that's embossed on these.
