For sale is one used front wheel hub.

P/N 3991024

For Corvettes 1969-1982

  • The front wheel hub holds the inner and outer front wheel bearings and mounts on the spindle support.

  • The brake rotor then gets rivetted onto the hub.

  • This particular hub has been cleaned up at one point and painted Cast Iron.

  • The blasting process has revealed little to no pitting.

  • The areas with bare metal show some oxidation (see pictures).

  • The studs have good threads.

  • Some of the mount holes for the brake rotor show wear marks.

  • The surface for the bearing races is in great condition.

Big fall in insurance premiums

DRIVERS are set to be quoted happy after it was revealed that insurance premiums have fallen by more than 14% over the last year. The typical quote for annual comprehensive car insurance cover was £533 in January, which was also a record 4.6% slide on the previous quarter, according to the latest AA Insurance premium index, which takes the average of the five cheapest quotes on the market. The AA British Insurance Premium Index, which has been running for 20 years, found that the North West remains the most costly region to insure a car, with the average premium for someone who shops around standing at £809, although this region also saw the biggest price drop over the past quarter at 6.3%.

Rinspeed to debut autonomous XchangE concept at Geneva motor show

Dutch coachbuilder Rinspeed has built a reputation for imagining and creating cars from 10 years in the future and making them a reality, either for well-heeled customers or for auto show crowds. So it came as no surprise when it revealed its newest project slated for the 2014 Geneva motor show, meant to preview the interiors of the self-driving cars of tomorrow.
